Maternal/Child Health Services
Western Medical CenterAnaheim provides a wide range of Maternal/Child health services, including:
The Birthing Center The Birthing Center at Western Medical Center Anaheim provides labor and maternity services. Our 14 Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Post-Partum (LDRP) suites are large and beautifully furnished to feel like home. From the hardwood floors and comfortable furniture, to the inviting wallpaper and artwork, the ambiance is comforting and soothing.
Each LDRP suite includes a private bathroom with shower and a cozy place for the father or coach to sleep. The rooms are designed to meet the needs of you and your child from labor, through birth, and into recovery until returning home. You can begin caring for your newborn from the moment of birth. This opportunity for early bonding is part of our family-centered philosophy. We encourage you to keep your baby in your suite until discharge.
Necessary medical equipment for you and your baby is discreetly hidden behind the furnishings, available at a moment's notice. If a Cesarean section should be necessary, the unit offers a surgical suite just steps away. If your baby is mildly ill, our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is available 24 hours a day and is staffed by neonatologists who can provide care and treatment.
