Tenet Home Care is designed to provide home care to patients who have a condition due to either an illness or injury which restricts their ability to travel to their physicians’ offices, out-patient rehabilitation or other related services. Patients are able to recover in the comfort of their own homes. Familiar surroundings coupled with the loving care of family and friends, creates a supportive and healing atmosphere for many individuals.
Tenet home care at Alvarado is a State-licensed, Medicare-certified and JCAHO-accredited home health agency. Tenet Home care is also a member of the Better Business Bureau, California Associated for Health Services at Home, and the San Diego and Imperial Counties Regional Home Care Council.

Tenet Home Care offers specialty clinical staff who provides the treatment and education needed to help you and your family adjust to your illness, and maximize your potential for recovery. We are available to serve you and your family throughout San Diego County. We select home care staff who have met our screening and hiring requirements are well as State licensing regulations.
Tenet Home care offers intermittent skilled home health based on your medical needs and private duty services to meet you and your family’s individualized needs.
Normal business hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Regular week-end visits are conducted. On-call staff are available to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by calling 619/441.1220.
How do I qualify for Home Care?
Skilled Home Health: You must be homebound, require intermittent, skilled nursing or rehabilitative care, and be unable to participate in outpatient services or programs. Services are rendered in accordance with physician’s orders. Medicare, Medi-Cal and private insurance companies have specific guidelines for home care coverage.
Private Care Services: We all want to be independent, meeting our own needs and creating no burden for those who care for us…but sometimes very young, the elderly ill or disabled persons have special needs…sometimes families can’t provide all the help and the choice to stay at home becomes difficult. Our services include: companionship, assistance with activities and with daily living (dressing, bathing, hair/skin care), grocery shopping, transportation, assistance with housework, meal preparation and live-in services. All that is needed to start these services in the client’s name and phone number.
